Fall In The Northwest

Fall is my favorite season in the Pacific Northwest, United States, where I live. I don't know why?, maybe because I was born in October or the breathtaking panoramas make me feel peace, or because October 22nd is my anniversary of my arrival in the United States, after one year long-distance engagement then my husband (my fiance at the moment..) picked me up at Sea-Tac airport, so my first impression of America was Fall Season.

Anyway, it's been crispy sunny days lately in Western Washington, even couple days ago it's 65 F (about 18 C), it made me and my daughter continue our outdoor playdate mostly at Vassault Park close to our place.

Vibrant yellow, fiery red, deep rich gold...I think the fall color in the Northwest can be as spectacular as any in the country. The Fall foliage display varies from year to year, the color and duration dependent upon the weather conditions. Last year at this same time was colder!.

The maple trees which we have alot arround the apartment complex turns to hues of yellow and orange and red.
I remember when I was kid almost every year we got new calendar from my father's office and the calendar always with European beautiful sceneries which the month of October or November with Autumn picture, never thought that years later I live in the State in the US which have four Seasons.
As I sit here enjoying my oh so wonderful big cup of tea with lemon (it said that the lemon juice enhance the antioxidant againts cancer..) I thought about my five years enjoying the beautiful Falls here in the Northwest, (am so sorry to my friends who live in Jakarta or Solo who had some crazy rainy days lately).  I try to have some 'me' time moment while my daughter is taking a nap, because Fall to me it means : the days become shorter and cooler, everyday puting on socks or slipers, Pumpkin Patch, and ooh yeah we have to deal with some rain too, prepare Halloween, and ....football season, so my hubby will be infront of tivi watching the match during weekend...no worry because he always try to be a good daddy and take a walk outside with his lovely daughter.
