A Date at Harbor Lights

Last Monday, ..and that was last day of January 2011, I had a date with my hubby, it's called 'Early Bird Dinner' according to 'Harbor Lights' seafood restaurant, meaning the special price valid from 3 until 6 PM. We love Monday for eating out, because usually it's not too crowded.
The Waterfront in Ruston Way, Tacoma has long line of various seafood restaurants, if we're lucky we'll be seated overlooking the beautiful Commencement Bay, including at Harbor Lights.
My hubby brought me for the first time to Harbor Lights on Valentine's Day 2007, and after we discussed where we gonna go for dinner, we came up the idea to go to Harbor Lights again which not that far from our place.
This is a brief story about this restaurant :
Harbor Lights is located on scenic Ruston Way, overlooking Commencement Bay in Tacoma. For over 50 years, Harbor Lights has become well known for serving colossal portions of seafood such as the four pound bucket of steamed clams. They are also noted for their charcoal pit grilled steaks. Harbor Lights was the dream of Anton Barcott, an immigrant from Yugoslavia. On January 26, 1959 Anton opened Harbor Lights among the lumber mills and shipyards along the waterfront. Anthony's Restaurants purchased Harbor Lights on April 29th, 2000 and warmly welcomes this landmark to the Anthony's family. (Anthony's Home Port)

My hubby had Alaska Cod 'n Chips and I had Roasted Garlic Prawns with Baked Potato, all, come along with our choice of Homemade Nectar Clam Chowder (too bad I forgot to take a picture of this yummy chowder...aaaw!..), and I choosed Burnt Cream as a desert while my hubby preferred Chocolate Mouse.
By the way the meaning of Chips are Potato which cooked look like French Fries. I learned about 'chips' when we had lunch at Raja's Restaurant, one of the famous restaurant in Kuta, Bali several years ago and a crazy guy blew up back pack bomb, not when we ate there,(..fyuuuh, Thank God!) I couldn't remember what year it was..!

oops!, sorry it's Roasted Garlic Prawns 'not' Sauted
well, doesn't matter it's delicious!!

Two lovely birds...eehmm..!
and the 'real bird' outside the glass wall.
We really got perfect seats, in the corner
overlooking the Bay.

this is my favorite desert so far,
it's fun to say it in French 'Creme Brulee'
which I think it's originated come from!..
