After having my little girl, I went back down to my previous weight with no problem. I was lucky because it came off pretty fast, but I still had to workout to not be jiggly and fit in my 'before pregnant jeans'. I have to admit, I was a little bit worry, how if my jeans go up one size or even two sizes. I ate alot during breasfeeding period, I nursed Grace, my sweetie pie for 16 months, but Grace is a 'strong little girl' for one session of breastfeeding, she did it for at least 45 minutes, leaving me hungry again right away.
I've been thin my whole life, actually I was happy when I was pregnant with Grace, I looked fantastic, I gained about 26 pounds (12 kgs) and that's normal as total gain weight recommended for a woman of average weight is between 24 to 35 pounds, I might gain until 34 pounds if Grace was born full term.
I'm not a mommywood (celebrity moms from Hollywood) who must have flat tummy during red-carpet time, (helooo..! those lucky ladies have personal trainer..!) but I think it's important to look good for yourself, for your self-confindence and more important for your healthiness.
Sometimes I do my workout infront of tivi while my daughter watching 'Sesama Street', sometimes I do that early in the morning when she's still sleeping. The 'key' is consistent...(believe me I tried hard ..:) ). If I haven't workout in a while I started to notice a difference (not a good one) in my body by not being consistent, those jeans and pants ain't fitting, baby..!
My hubby and I have an agreement, we eat healthy everyday, drink plenty of water and juice...and tea as (obvious) antioxidant drink, so when we go to a family party (especially during this holiday season) we'll free to eat anything without feeling guilty.
Someday when I can have real conversation with my daughter, I will tell her that exercising is not necessary to keep the weight down but it making us strong and healthy. Having a good routine workout is great for both phisically and mentally.
..my little bit Indonesian comments:
..pernah males exercise..?...jangan ditanya, meskipun aku 'berkoar koar' soal konsistensi, tapi kalo penyakit malas lagi datang, ampuuuun..!, no creativity seharian..please dech!
