Perfect Easter Sunday

It's the perfect Easter Sunday for my family. As usual, we go for annual Easter Brunch at our cousin's house, continued with 'egg hunt' and 'easter candy tossing',..which means, one of our family member tosses all the easter candies brought by my mother in-law and we're all kids try to catch them. I did a good job (according to my husband ..LoL)..usually I take the picture of my hubby, catching the candies, this time, because he hurted his right shoulder, I was the one who catch the candies and he took some pictures.

So, like a good Catholic, I spent the whole Lenten, fasting and abstinence, and we went to Church for Holy Week and I had to take our daughter for egg hunt..!...this year, she, as I repeatedly mentioned in my other blogs, turned to 2 years 7 mos old. She started have a 'clue' what is 'egg hunting'...and she enjoyed a little guest named Hannah, 5 years old, who of course tried to be the leader for Grace, unfortunately Grace is so determined, she knew what she wants...LoL..!..anyway It was a perfect Easter Sunday, filled with family memories to cherish eventhough still little bit chilly but it's not raining until we're on the way back home. Thank you God...

The Spirit Of Easter

The Lenten is almost over when I'm writing down this blog,..and the Easter close to the peak, it's Holy Week, and started on Palm Sunday, Holy Thursday, God Friday and Easter Sunday. And am busy too to prepare my heart to celebrate the resurection of Jesus.  The Easter Season itself is beginning on Sunday and continuing for 50 days.
As a mom and housewife, I like that the Lenten season means I got a chance to buy fish or other seafood in a good price, because usually the supermarket close by to our place, always send their flyers for discount and deals. I feel relieve that 'The Friday Fish' that we always do that for our dinner will be continued as we believe eating fish for at least two times a week as a good habit.
And our tot, Grace, sparks her eyes when she saw colorful plastic eggs and the egg hunter's bag that I pulled out from the box inside our storage room. I told her that we gonna meet her 1st and 2nd cousins on Easter Sunday after mass, and do the egg hunting after Easter Brunch. I learned that it's important to tell to my little girl 'what we will going to do'...before we head out to some place, that way I reduce the possibility of melting down or tantrums.

One thing that I notice during this Lenten was I learn not to be emotional, not to be wanting so much to get attention from my husband, learn to be more patient to my daughter and the most important learned that somebody else is different including my husband that we cannot just want someone else be 'someone' like we want it to be!...And that everyday life sometimes make us in 'fear', 'worrines'...that's why I like this below phrase from loyolapress.
Live without Fear

The Resurrection teaches us that God can overcome anything, even death. When the Risen Christ appears to the women at the tomb and later to his disciples, his first words are “Do not be afraid!” (Mt 28:5,10) These words speak to our hearts, helping us cope with the fear from the loss of a job, a serious illness, or a crumbling relationship. Our faith allows us to trust that God can overcome our most serious problems.

Happy Easter, May God Bless Us...!

Spring Has Sprung

Finally feels like Spring after days of rain and winds and cold, I got a chance to go to the park with my daughter, Grace. It's sunny although chilly, Grace was so happy !!, she swings and slides alot, and almost melt down when I said to her, it's time to go home, have lunch and take a nap...well,..who wants to go home after weeks and weeks just stay indoor!...LoL!!. At 2years and 7 months old, she starts showing her real caracter, independence, determine what best for her (like she knew ..hh). My little girl is just her own person, the 'baby' is really starting to go away. I actually still go through many new moments with my daughter. I've learned to embrace it all.
Okay, I think I must take a chance to catch some nap, maybe just cat nap, when Grace is taking a nap, it's important to do 'me' time....and this including 'napping'....see ya!..
